Our story
We went looking for this and it DIDN’T EXIST.
Four friends, one conversation that wouldn’t end, and three years of finding out how little anyone had bothered to build for men.
Half of the story is MALE.ALMOST NONE of the attention is.
Majella exists to change what men are given to work with – starting with the one thing they wear every day and never think about.
How it started
A conversation that was supposed to be a JOKE.
New Year’s Eve. Four friends, partners in the room, and a conversation that started as a joke about overheating and turned into two hours. One of us had watched his brother go through years of trying. Another had a similar story a little further out in the family. So we did what anyone does — we searched.
For women there was everything: products, communities, dozens of accounts, whole shelves. For men there was a row of supplements and silence. Not one account we could find was about male fertility. The pieces existed separately — fabrics that cool, fabrics that shield — but nobody had put them together, and nobody was talking to men about it at all.
We dove into the research on heat, EMF exposure, and testicular function, working to bridge the gap between science and everyday wear. We got the first samples sewn by one of our sisters, in Slovenia, on a domestic machine. They were far from ready. Dozens of iterations, two specialized manufacturers, and endless testing phases later — measuring thermal regulation, shield efficiency, and fit — we finally developed a product grounded in science that we were proud to wear ourselves.

Evidence
How we tested ALL of this.
We could have written a nice sentence about cooling and left it there. Instead here is every measurement behind this product, who did it, and what it does and doesn’t prove.
Evidence 01
We photographed the heat
Our first real evidence came from thermal imaging, done in a collaboration with a group at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering who work with thermal cameras. It was the first time we could see the difference rather than argue about it.
Evidence 02
We wore them for a month, alternating
Temperature probes across four participants over one month of sedentary office work. Majella one day, cotton the next — same person, consecutive days, comparable clothing and weather, because that is the only way to make the comparison mean anything.
-0.4°C average
with a highest single-day difference of 1.3 °C. The spread between people and days is wide, and we say so.
Evidence 03
We sent the fabric to a radiation laboratory
The Laboratory for Radiation and Optics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering measured transmission attenuation across 2-6 GHz-the bands phones and Wi-Fi actually use. Up to 99.99% of transmitted RF energy was blocked. This is a fabric test, not a health test, and we label it that way everywhere.
Evidence 04
We had the knit measured against cotton
The Institute for Textile Technology measured air permeability: up to 3.4x that of cotton. Under the microscope at 400x, the fibres are around five times thinner than a human hair.
Evidence 05
We had the knit measured against cotton
We are preparing a study with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering to measure temperature reduction under controlled conditions, on people, and publish it. Note what it will and won’t test. It will test temperature. We aren’t testing fertility outcomes directly — medicine already knows that testicles function best at lower temperatures, so our focus is simply proving how effectively our fabric keeps them cool.
What we WON’T TELL YOU.
This is a category full of promises. So here is ours, in reverse – the things we will never put on this website.
-
That Majella WILL GET your partner pregnant
We don’t know that. No underwear company does, and anyone who says otherwise is selling you something.
-
That you SHOULD SKIP seeing a doctor
Please don’t. If it isn’t happening, a doctor is the single most useful thing you can do – and it isn’t buying underwear.
-
That our own measurements are a CLINICAL TRIAL
They aren’t. We are running a proper one, and when it is published we will link to it whatever it says.
-
That the science on phone radiation IS SETTLED
It isn’t. It is younger and thinner than the temperature research. That is why the silver is a precaution, not a promise.
What’s left is what we can actually stand behind: COOLER, MEASURED. SHIELDED, TESTED.
Comfortable enough that people buy NINE PAIRS AT A TIME.
Majella is
TRUSTWORTHY
not pushy
HEALTHY
never harmful
CLEAN
not clinical
COOL
not overheated
WORN
not prescribed
One value sits under all of them: trust. Transparency, science, and saying the unglamorous thing out loud.

What we stand for
Our mission.
We are four friends who realized male fertility is too often overlooked or unfairly shifted onto women. A couple’s fertility is a 50/50 equation — male reproductive health matters, and it deserves real attention.
After years of research, we developed our underwear with a clear goal: to actively protect against heat and radiation, supporting sperm health where it counts most. But tailored products are only step one. We are here to raise awareness, share evidence-based insights, and empower men to take control of their reproductive health.
